Do you go to preschool classmates parties?
My twins have been invited to a few
We've been busy for the first few
Just curious do you go to them?
Selfishly I want to skip because I'm shy and won't know anyone! But that's not right

My kids love nothing more than to attend these classmate parties.
We have made several friends from preschool parties. We got to know them after seeing one another at classmate parties. Then we started doing play dates and now we even vacation together.

Yup. If we're free then we like to go. My boys love seeing their school friends and it's s good way to see your LO interact with friends when they're not with you. DH and I made some friends and did play dates. Even more friendly and been out to dinner with the parents minus the kids. Lol
Our kids are gonna grow up with a lot of these kids so it's nice to get to know other neighborhood families now and watch them grow up together.

If DD is friends with the child and talks about them, I see them at school, etc...we try to go.
if it's a child I never heard of, and when I ask DD who they are, and she seems wishy washy like she barely knows them, we decline.
There are just too many invites.

Im very shy too and just had my sons first real party. Besides my sister and my niece and one friend. All the kids were from his toddler program. I work full time so I didnt know anyone I invited. It was at a place 90 minutes and it was fine. 95% of the kids invited came. Half came with both parents. You should go.

Ive gone. Im usually shy but ive made a conscious effort to introduce myself to the other moms and try to meet more people. Especially the kids I see and hear my dd is friendly with. Its been great and my dd has the best time. Its about her not me and it means everything to me to see her so happy. Plus ive met with some great women.

Yes we go as long as we're free. Those kids are the my kids spend every day with. So they love hanging out with them at parties. It's adorable to see them together.

Yes we go even when I don't know anyone if its at a party place. I don't go house parties of people I don't really know because those parties seem to last way too long. I would want my dd classmates to come to her party when we have it. Its usually only 1.5 -2 hours so in the end its not such a huge deal.

So far there has only been one party and we went. There are only 7 kids in DDs class and she's friends with all of them so we'd go if invited.

YEs, it is a good way to meet other mothers and for the kids to build friendships out of school. With that said, I don't go to each party. IT gets to be too much!

We will go if it's one of her "closer" friends. Meaning kids she always talks about and plays with. But we normally don't go if it's someone she's not close with .

Yes, we really try to make them unless we have a prior commitment. DD always has a great time and loves playing with her friends from school. Even if we don't know who the child is we'll go if we're available.
It's also nice to get to know the other parents. Many of them we would never really get to meet since DD attends a daycare/preschool and everyone drops off/picks up at different times. We've made friends this way that we otherwise wouldn't have.

Same here. Dont feel funny about not knowing anyone since its probable that the other moms from class wont know anyone either. 
Plus you'll probably be so busy running around with/tending to your child to even have much time to socialize. Go and enjoy

This. My kids love going to classmates birthday parties. I don't mind it either. I'll chat with a few parents..have a slice of pizza..and the 1 1/2 hours flies by.

If we are free we go.
Although, I have said no the last 4 we were invited to in December/January because I just don't need to risk DS picking up anything from these party places. I am a FTWM and have limited time to use for when my children are sick.

preschool...no. mostly i never heard of the kid and i knew the next year he was going to kindergarten and would never see them again. i only said yes to the kids he talked about.
