Do you give the bottle or puree first? 9 months
I never know whether I should give my 9 month old DD the bottle first or the purees first. She seems to eat less solids if she drinks the bottle first.

My Dr always said to give the bottle first since the baby is relying on BM/formula for most of it's nutrients.

Our ped has us working down to 3 6oz bottles a day by 11m.
So, to achieve this, I had to switch it around, and give solids first. Before he got sick he was drinking 4 6oz bottles, before we made the switch 4 8oz
The reason to lower it as when they get milk, they drink a lot less of it. He said we could do milk sooner, but he'd like to lower formula oz first.

DD is 7 months and I giver her the bottle first...just because if she gets full i would rather her fill up on a bottle since thats where they get most of the nutrients

i try to give the solids about and hour before i go to give DD the bottle.

I gave the bottle first bec that is more important...then the solids...bec at that age it is not a necessity just experimentation!
