Do you ever feel like everything you buy goes to crap?
Car gets scratched, appliances break, clothes get a stain....why buy anything nice, it's going to get ruined anyway?! I hate that all my purchases seem to get ruined or damaged or broken.  Anyone else?

Only since I met DH. He's like a bull in a china shop. I never knew that nail clippers could rust until we were married.
I was forewarned. He cracked a few jewel cases on my cds when we were dating. It's been downhill ever since.

Same here. Alone, I kept things in tact for 5-10 years. With him, furniture cracks, dishes break, things get stained. We are a mess together

YES! I always say that you can't have anything nice. People have no respect for other's property. I have a huge scratch across my car from someone in a parking lot who didn't know how to drive . Nicks all over the bumper from people who don't know how to park Garbage all over my stoop every day because people are pigs and don't know how to clean up after themselves.
I could go on all day...

But I totally agree - A lot of the stuff we got as wedding gifts are already breaking, crakcing, you name it, after only 3 years! I always tell DH, I was using towels my parents' house that they got as wedding gifts until I was 21!!! What's wrong with our stuff?????

yes-- I feel the same way... and DH gets annoyed when I am like, USE A COASTER... or DON"T PUT THAT THERE.... You have to take care of things if you want them to last... Other things, are just out of your control.

Yes - I feel that way but only since living with DH. I am trying my BEST to have him trained before the baby gets here but the clock is ticking and I have not been very successful yet.

It bothers me a lot. Every time we get something new it's like bittersweet- I'm loving how it looks- and knowing that soon it won't look like that anymore.
Hence why I park about 10 miles away from the store with my new car!!!

YES! Everything DH buys that is expensive gets ruined. He rubbed this trait off on me now. One year, his boss bought him $250 sunglasses that he lost the next day at the San Diego Zoo. Now hes had the same $10 pair for years!

Totally! My DH is like a bull in a china shop too...But my animals are the worst... my cat scratches my dining room table (which is less than a yr. old) from jumping on it all the time, my new couch has pulls on it from the dogs, stains on my rugs from the cat throwing up. I understand why people keep the same stuff for so many years now when they have a husband, kids and animals.
