Do You Complain A lot?

I am wondering how many people identify themselves as 'complainers'.

Do you think you complain more than the average? What would you consider average?

I recently started thinking about how often I complain and MAN I am whiney!

ETA: I don't necessarily mean about bad service, etc... And I am not really talking about bemoaning your lot in life. I mean I am pretty happy with my life but I complain alot - stuff like "Oh it's so nasty out!" or "I hate being at work!" or "I wish I had a bottle of Vodka and Vibrating Bed" or "I am so tired" or "Why did I eat that egg roll?" or "I wish I still fit in my size 5 jeans from 1985".. that stuff.

it depends. if i dont like the service i get somewhere i complain to the manager...if i didnt get the discount at the supermarket (or any other type of shopping stores) that was advertised then i complain to the manager. things of that nature i complain about.

but generally in life, i dont think im a complainer. i especially dont complain about the hand that God has dealt me. i've realized that you have to work with what ya got and that the grass isnt always greener on the other side.

Most of the time, no. But I admit, there are some days when I just complain allll day!

yesterday my coworker turned to me and said "you have to stop complaining - you sound EXACTLY like you describe your mother"



I don't mean to but the first words out of my mouth are usually complaints. . . and then sometimes i forget to follow up with the good stuff

I used to be but I have grown out of it and realized it does no good. I find if I force myself to smile more I actually become happier.

You should have created a poll. Maybe we should all vote if we think OTHER people are whiney.

I am married to a chronic complainer and God it gets old, its made me into a chronic eyeroller, I can not stand it!

well, if you ask my hubby, he says I enjoy complaining and treat it as my hobby.

I do complain, but it's my way of getting past something. I complain about it and then it doesn't bother me anymore

If people weren't so annoying, I wouldn't need to complain as much.

yup--- I am definitely a complainer.

There was just an interesting article on CNN.com about it though. It's really my way of venting and getting it out there... It helps me deal with stress. And the article really did say that people NEED to do it to blow off steam.

Yup.. In fact.. I feel sick now.. see I am complaining... I try to stop myself because I don't see myself as a negaitve person but I complain a lot.
