The butterfly is hard to see... it is pruple and yellow.

did the right ankle hurt?
It did hurt, but it wasn't that bad. The hip was much worse!!!

My mom got one on her ankle the same time as me, and she said it was nothing, after having been through childbirth. A year later she went back and got a matching big one on the top of her foot. She said that one hurt more because it is only skin and bone, but she still said it wasn't bad (compared to childbirth).

Thanks flee! I thought getting a butterfly was kinda overdone for the female race...then I read this today:
On the lower back, the butterfly symbolizes stability, survival, self-preservation, physical health, prosperity, and trust
I thought, I need prosperity and trust
then I read
In Greece the belief is that a new human soul is born each time a butterfly emerges from its cocoon, while in Ireland, people believe that butterflies are the souls of the dead waiting to pass through purgatory, and while Germans have a similar belief, they hold that the dead are reborn as children who fly about as butterflies, bringing childbirth to childless parents.
I want a butterfly to bring me my child!

Aztec, Mayan And Mexican Butterfly Mythology
Born out of the caterpillar in the chrysalis, butterflies are a symbol of fertility, rebirth, regeneration, happiness, and joy to Native Americans in Mexico.
These all seem like realllllly good rationales to get a butterfly.

my mom has a butterfly too. i've heard that too... that alot of women with or wanting a baby- get it.
