Dividing up your Registries
I am registered at BBB and BRU, but we've only added items to our BBB registry so far. We went to the store and they walked us around and helped us add a solid amount of the necessities to the registry.
Now I feel like we don't have any bigger items to add to BRU.
How did you split up your registry items between two places?

How about by price or availability of products you like?
It's nice to have a good number of items on both registries so that folks who are closer to one store vs. another have options.

Re: Dividing up your Registries
We did it by price. If BBB had it for more money, we would put it on our BRU registry. Many of the items that were cheaper at BRU weren't in stock and were online only. We thought we were doing our guests a favor by price shopping, turns out we were wrong. Most of our guests wanted to go to a store and buy something so things that were available online only didn't get bought.
One of my friends spent an extra 10 bucks on a gift from BBB that was on my BRU registry because at BRU after shipping it would have been more. She just called me and told me to take it off the other registry.

I hadn't quite considered availability. I'll have to look into that as well!

Re: Dividing up your Registries
For me I just picked randomly between the stores. Sometimes one of them will exclusively carry a specific color for an item they both sell. Sometimes that made my decision.
Return policy wise- I DEF like BBB better. We had to return a car seat to BRU and if I didn't have the packing receipt they would have given us a credit for the lowest selling price even though it was purchased on my registry. AND the packing slip says that any item can be returned to BRU OR TRU w/no problems. The cs girl at TRU tried to refuse to accept our return. After pointing out and explaining their return policy to her she accepted it.

BBB had the highchair, carseat and stroller we wanted, so we kept those items on there.
We put stuff on BRU that were available at both stores (jumpers, my little snugabunny, activity pads, bobby, etc)

Re: Dividing up your Registries
it was pretty much based on availability...like BRU sells the color bouncer I wanted, but BBB didn't.
Then I just placed items on the BRU registry that I felt wouldn't have been as big of a pain to return. I placed exersaucer, activity mat, and some other larger items like car seat bc it's an exclusive color at BRU

Dividing up your Registries
I basically did it by price for most things that overlapped at both stores. Anything else it was things they had at one store (whether it be a style of something, a specific brand, etc...) that wasn't at the other.
