How many items are on your registry/registries? (and another Q)

We registered this weekend! I'm still updating online as I read reviews, etc. but it was fun to get started and see everything in person.

So i'm having two medium-sized (one in NY and one in FL) showers and I hope I have enough on my registries. How many items do you have on yours?

Also, I need advice on what to write in the comments. I wanted to write something for the NY-ers who want to buy us large gift items, maybe "New Yorkers: Please send large items to our address in FL. Thank you!" Is that okay?

Where did you end up registering? Were you able to see the CitiMini in person?

we are probably registering next weekend, but im just going to pick the most important stuff.
The things I know I can get cheaper for Ex: Boppy Pillow - at TJMaxx or Bj's I can get it for 19.99 instead of putting it on my registry for $34.99 or 39.99 at BBB - So Im going to try to eliminate some things like this

I think we have like 90 things on the regsitry. I thought this was a lot until I saw my friend's registry and she had 156!

Babies R Us - 48 items (ranging from $4.99-$299.99)


Target - 35 items (ranging from $2.99-$79.99)

106 between Babies R Us and Walmart.

I have a lot of clothes because I saw neutral stuff that I liked and wanted (and we aren't finding out)!!!!

I think I'm also missing a lot of stuff others may consider "necessities".



ETA: I included in the "notes" to "please include gift receipts to ease return of duplicates" (or crap we don't like ... that's not in the notes )

I had 130 items on my registry and all different prices - alot of things not really needed but were cute (toys) anyway - we got alot of it....

Plus i am having two more showers - one at each job so I am sure I will do well....

Definetly write messages - I included a message that it was a girl and to please include gift receipts due to Babies R Us's return/eschange policy....

And I am glad I did - My home shower with family and friends was this weekend and we did get alot of the receipts especially for the items not registered for... So it was a good thing...

56 at Babies R Us, and that's it.

We have 147 items on our registry. Some are big things and some are little things. Friends of mine advised me to add as many things as I wanted because it makes it easier for returns and we also get completion coupons for after the baby is born.

So far we have 85 items on our registry.

Hey Jess!

We had around 130 items on our registry. Only had one BIG shower in NY (that was fun getting everything home)
In the comments I wrote, "Dear friends and family. If you are purchasing one of the larger items (i.e. Pack N Play, Swing, Bouncer) Please call the Braintree, MA store at 781-123-4567 and order it through them so that we may pick it up at the location closer to our home. Thanks so much! Love, Laura & Frank"

Be prepared though, many folks payed no attention to our little disclaimer. They like to have something to BRING to the shower. Those that DID follow our request printed out the picture of the item from our registry and included it in a card or with the receipt from the order.

We're down to a little under 70 at BRU and I have a target registry that's pretty much just for stuff that I know i'm going to need and get teh 10% off on.

I have about 130 items at BRU.... I still think we over registered.. Can you over register .. My husband decided he was going to register for everything...

babies r us - 50 items.. some of them have multiple quantity

- however we also have gotten some handme downs- otherwise i could see it being about 80 items

We have about 90 items on our registry at BRU and the comment line says:

WE ARE SO EXCITED -- IT'S A GIRL!

OUR NURSERY THEME IS CARTER'S "PINK ELEPHANTS" (LIGHT PINK/CHOCOLATE BROWN)

PLEASE PROVIDE A GIFT RECEIPT IN CASE OF DUPLICATES DUE TO STRICT RETURN POLICY.

It's says I registered for 130 items. After my shower, I added a couple more items on there so I could receive the discount.

I received all the big and necessary items and just had to buy a pack and play with the gift cards I received.

By the way - I LOVE the infant carrier you registered for and so will YOU!!

We registered at BRU. But, we did to go Buy Buy Baby first to see the City Mini and to look at furniture.

We tested out the city mini and it was awesome! There were two other couples looking at it and the sales guy said he HIGHLY recommends it. He was demonstrating everything for us and talking about it to us and the other couples for like a half an hour! We are definitely going to get it.
