Re: Disney at 14mo - Yay or Nay?
Everyone we have ever spoken to in real life has STRONGLY urged us NOT to go to disney until the kids are at least 5 years old.
Many people on LIF seem to have enjoyed trips to Disney and the pictures look amazing.
DH has shot down 3 potential trips to Disney. 2 of the times, his flight and hotel would have been free. We also get huge discounts for the tickets. Even though it would have been super cheap, DH thought it would be better to go elsewhere.
I want to do a Florida trip this year but I'm not sure if we will do the theme parks. We may just go to sea world and enjoy the weather and pools.

We live 40 minutes from Disneyland and have been only a couple of times. I plan on going back this winter since DD turns 5 and can do more stuff.
Before that there was really nothing for her to do.

Re: Disney at 14mo - Yay or Nay?
DD#1's 1st trip she was 15 months. DD#2's 1st trip she turned one our last full day of the trip. Both girls LOVED it. They got different things out of it - but they clapped and danced and sang their way through most of the rides. We did make sure to take some down time every day and go back to our hotel for naps and swim/shower time. But I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. They have baby care centers for changing or if you need any thing you forgot (medicine, pedialyte, gerber drinks, diaper supplies, suntan lotion for kids). Under 3 you don't buy them a ticket and they eat free if you go to a buffet or family style restaurants (you only pay if you order them a kids meal off the menu at a TS that is a menu type (i.e. San angel Inn) or at counter service. They can eat free off your plate too.

Re: Disney at 14mo - Yay or Nay?
we went on a cruise when DS was 13 months. We spent one day at Magic Kingdom. It was not a good age for us to bring DS. All he wanted to do was run around in the crowds of people. He did not want to wait in the stroller. It was beyond annoying to hold him or keep him standing with us while waiting on long lines. He did like some of the rides, but he didnt quite get it and wasnt verbal yet. He liked looking at things but there was no real excitement.
Now at 19 months, I think he would enjoy it more and get excited about what he is seeing. He is really into Mickey Mouse and characters and dances and is much more verbal, but we would still be dealing with the inability to wait and waiting is expected.
My cousin brought her daughter at 17 months and had a blast, but she is very advanced for her age and was starting to talk in sentences already.

I would NEVER say no to Disney, I don't care what the age of my child is!!! I've known plenty of people who take their kids as young as a few months old and their kids loved it no matter what the age. I know my own DD at 14 months would've LOVED it!!!............she's been a HUGE Disney fan since she was a baby so I know that she would've had fun at that age. I say go, have fun!!!!!

DD#2 was 13 months old when we went to Disney. While she couldn't "appreciate" it per se, she definitely had fun and enjoyed herself. If that's where you want to go, do it!

Re: Disney at 14mo - Yay or Nay?
My DD was 16 Months when we went, and she ad an AMAZING TIME! And yes she maybe didn't remember it then but shes 25 months now and we look at the scrapbook almost everyday and she remembers it through all her pics, and my DH AND I remember the great memories and joy we saw in her face everyday/! I cannot wait to go back! And I loved that we went that early on in her age!
DEF GO!
It was also a great age b/c she didn't complain at all, and totally just fell asleep if she was tired in the stroller and we got to hang out some nights late at the parks... it was great!
