Re: Disney 2014
I have no idea where we'll stay in 2014. If we decide to do Star Wars Weekends, then maybe Boardwalk since it's walking distance to Disney Studios. I'd have to tear myself away from Bay Lake Tower to do that though. Or maybe Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah View.
My must dos for my late 2013 and/or 2014 trips:
-7 dwarfs mine coaster when it opens (I've seen the rest of the New Fantasyland!) -Eat at Be Our Guest -Try the new menu at LeCellier -Try the new Test Track -Try Wilderness Explorers at AK. -Eat at California Grill once it re-opens from refurb -Do the Wild Africa Trek tour at AK. -Try Jiko since I love Boma and Sanaa so much -MAYBE Diving in The Seas since we're certified divers.
Highlights of my 2011/2012 trips: -New vegan booth at the Food and Wine Festival and the Festival in general -Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party (we dressed up, of course) -Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party, Osbourne Lights, Candlelight Processional (Neil Patrick Harris!!!), etc. -Keys to the Kingdom tour. -First Monorail stay (at BLT --heaven!) -Eating at Wave several times (hidden gem!) -Sanaa and Boma -Prime Time 50's (hadn't been in years) -New Fantasyland -Universal Studios and IoA.

Re: Disney 2014
I'm hoping to. I'd like to go in the fall of 2014 when the baby I'm pg with now is a year old. My other 2 will be 4 and almost 3.
ETA: I've never planned a trip to Disney. When I went as a kid- my parents just "winged" it and we didn't stay on property.
I went with DH 12 years ago and we just winged it as well.
It's VERY overwhelming.
I'm hoping to plan a trip when they're offering free dining plans.

Want to get really excited? Order the free WDW planning video. My DD loves to watch it, just to see the parks, rides, etc.
I just ordered this.
I saw a Disney Tips blog pinned on pinterest and she recommended it. I was getting excited just reading all the tips!
Of course, I haven't even mentioned this to DH yet

Kristen, I am picturing your little Princess taking part in Enchanted Tales with Belle. That's actually my favorite part of the New Fantasyland. It's so much fun and a great photo op. I was pretty disappointed to not be picked. LOL

She would freak out to meet any of the princesses. I cant wait to see Enchanted Tales. She is going to die when she goes and sees the castle and then to eat at "Be Our Guest". I can't tell you how excited I am!!!

DH and I are thinking about going, but we aren't sure yet. If it's not next year though, it will probably be 2015.
Quick question...how far in advance do you think it's necessary to book the trip? We will NOT be going during an on-season time...no summer, Christmas break, winter break, spring break, etc...just a regular time of the year.

We will probably be going again in 2014.
We have one parkhopper day left that we can use in 2013 but DH doesn't want to go in 2013. That ticket will be wasted.

We are! We started the Disney change fund already. We will go in either late August or one of the breaks in September if they fall correctly. While we love Saratoga Springs, I am hoping to stay at the Contemporary Bay Towers this time! The baby will be 3 (or days away from) so I can not wait for both my girls to do Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique together.
Bay Lake Tower
Let me know if you have any questions. That is my home resort!
Is this resort good for young kids?
We stayed here with a 3.5 and a 2 year old. LOVED it! We liked that it was not overly Disney themed because it was a little break from everything Disney when we went back to the room. We never had an issue with transportation, the pool was fun for the kids (went on the first day) and I loved having the kitchen to eat breakfast and store food in.

Book as soon as you know your dates. That way when a discount comes out, you can just be switched over, rather than making a whole new reservation.

Re: Disney 2014
I'm planning on going in April 2014 and reading this thread has me SO excited.
I need help though...Where do I stay? It'll be myself, DH, and our 3 DSs (5yrs, 4yrs & 9months).
I want a resort to include a deck so DH and I can enjoy the view while the kids sleep. I was thinking Bay Lake Towers but the price scares me.
We'll be going to MK and Hollywood Studios the most because based off of last time we went my boys loved those the most. Oh and we're going to do Sea World.
Do you recommend a kitchen? Right now I'm thinking yes but will I really cook anything...probably not! Thoughts on places to stay?

We are hoping to go in 2014, my oldest DD will be in 1st grade (my youngest still PreK.)
I'm on the fence about pulling from school...so if you could pick any time what would it be? Mind you im in NC, so my vacations are a little different than NY.
Loved Halloween...BUT I REALLY want to do Christmas time, I also really considering running a 1/2 marathon at some point too.
thank you for the suggestions!

I went Dec 1-10, 2011 and we had a blast. It was Christmas time and the weather was gorgeous. 75-80 during the day and cool enough at night to just throw on a sweater. It was Pop Warner Week but it did not effect us at all. The parks were busy but not over crowded and very easy to get around with a carriage. We stayed at the All Star Movies and thought it was perfect. Buses were never a problem either.
I would highly recommend going this time of year (the beginning of December). My boys were 3yrs and 21months at the time.

We will definitely go to WDW, hopefully DL too in 2014. It all depends on if/when I get pregnant. Right now, we have a Dec 2013 WDW trip planned, but that can get pushed back to Feb if needed. We will most likely go during the summer. And definitely stay at Bay Lake Tower.
NewlyMrs, my fave time is October for the food and wine festival, December is great too. DH is a teacher so for longer tips we need to go when school is out - and we prefer Feb break to any of the others.
