Re: DISABILITY QUESTION
My dr talked about maybe taking me out early cause I commute into the city. But I would never ask him to sign me out for a long period of time if nothing was wrong with me.
I doubt a Dr will do that. it is unelthical.

Re: DISABILITY QUESTION
My dr agrees that I should stop working at 36wks because of my commute into the city. But I doubt that he would call it disability and sign a paper stating that I physically couldn't work.
I have patients that come to me with these forms all the time and I tell them, I'm sorry but pregnancy without complications is not a reason not to work, no matter your occupation. Light duty I will agree to, and sign their forms.

Re: DISABILITY QUESTION
Unless I have a valid reason for needing to stay out I'm just going to be using the time I'm entitled to. After that I'll be using leftover vacation time. If I decide to stay out any longer I just won't be getting paid for it.

Re: DISABILITY QUESTION
My Dr. already mentioned signing me out on disability at least two weeks before my due date but he suggested it, not me. I commute to the city and work long days and he's concerned about me going into labor before my due date.
Can you just ask him in a roundabout way whether he thinks you will need to finish up early or if you will be good working to your due date? If he says that he recommends leaving work before then call your HR or insurance company and ask for the paperwork.
