Disability Paperwork
When did you / are you getting your doctor to fill out your diability paperwork? I have a scheduled c-section, so I know what my last day will be and how much paid time off I'm taking before the disability will start, but I guess realistically I could go before then and then the dates will change. Are we supposed to wait until after birth or do it before the baby is born?

My office says it takes 7-10 business days to fill out disability paperwork. I am due September 1st and they recommend I bring in the paperwork by the end of Just in case I go early. If you know your c-section date maybe bring it in 2 weeks before.

i knew when my last day of work was going to be and my job told me to pick up the paperwork from them a month before to have my dr fill it out. they needed it back within 2 weeks. so i guess it was 2 weeks before my last day of work.

check with whoever you are sending the disability forms to. NYSIF doesn't have rules but AIG does. AIG won't accept it if its prepared before hand. I only know about those 2 carriers
