I never thought of it as separate -- kids or travel -- I plan to do both. I beleive in having at least one vacation a year.

We did the move exotic travel that you probably wouldn't want to do with kids under the age of 13.

I have no problem taking kids to London or Paris but not sure they would be a lot of fun to have around when exploring Angkor Wat, Machu Pichu or Petra.

we did alot before we had our first. Of course I would have wanted to do some more "exotic" travel. But we will after our kids get bigger. We have traveled many times with our kids. My oldest has been to the Dominican Republic 2x, Turks and Caicos, Mexico. We are leaving for Mexico again 12/11 with both kids in tow. We are always away doing something.

You have to decide what is important to you right now.

I can't see our kids enjoying a site seeing week in Italy at these ages but they sure do love a family beach vacation!

No, but if I did, I wind up dying before I completed my list. I'd rather have a baby then a couple of weeks in Italy anyway .
