that makes me sick to mu stomach that a Judge would let a father get away without charging him with endangerment to a child by leaving him overnight in a car and driving with the child while he was intoxicated.. I think this judge made a bad decision because he can go out there and do it again. I am sorry but the system can suck sometimes.

Re: Did I just hear correctly?????????
Not that it makes it any better but he didn't drive with the baby in the car. He decided that he was too drunk to drive so he walked about a mile home & forgot about the baby. He didn't remember how he got home & forgot where the car was parked.
I think he should be ordered to attend some type of AA group

Re: Did I just hear correctly?????????
every report i've heard, it's been said that he did drive, but didn't go all the way home....instead, he parked at a parking lot and walked about 1/2 mile home..
this is from one report:
But instead of driving to the Clifton home he shares with his parents and children, Ribot parked the vehicle at an auto body shop about half a mile away, police said. He walked the rest of the way home, leaving his son trapped in the back seat overnight, police said.
-----------------------------------------
i still haven't heard anything though about the Judge's decision

Re: Did I just hear correctly?????????
I think the mother was at home b/c it was his night for custody. At least that's what one article I read made it sound like.

She now has custody of the son. Originally the father had custody of him but since the incident the mom now has him.

Uh, who cares if he drove or not? Okay, so drop the drunk driving charges. What about neglect? Child endangerment? False imprisonment?

I'm as confused as you are - but maybe I'm just a dumb lawyer. I can't find anything about this online, though...

Re: Did I just hear correctly?????????
Every report I've heard has said he drove as well and then parked and walked home. Regardless of that, the fact that he thought it was ok to get behind the wheel, and left his son in the car overnight..I think he should receive punishment. I'd probably kill him if this were my ex or husband and of course THAT would land my arse up in jail!!!! This system is RIDICULOUS!!!!

Re: Did I just hear correctly?????????
Can anyone find and post an article on this? I find it hard to believe that he walked on all charges.
Maybe he just isn't being charged with DD and is "walking free" on bail?

I can't find an article. But on the news last night I did hear he was free on $75,000 bail.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - enough with the courts and their overabundance of leeway. It's time we revert back to the good old days of community STONING

Okay, he's NOT free of the charges - he is out on bail. That makes a lot more sense.
