When he was a baby, I always sat with my DS....and sometimes I still sit in the backseat with my him and he's 3 now I love it We hold hands and sing songs and stuff.

DD is 22 months, and if DH and I travel with DD, I sit in the back with her. In the beginning she would scream her head off, so I would sit with her in the back. Now it is out of habit and we sing and play - makes it more fun

She's 5 and we STILL sit back there.

People think we are crazy or she is spoiled but is us who fight who sits back there. We love playing with her, talking to her, showing her stuff. Its just easier to be back there with her.

I dont care what others think about me. I love spending extra time with her anyway I can grab it every time I can grab it. No regrets at all.

She is very capable of sitting by herself and sometimes she'll ask us not to sit with her (rare but it happens).

When she was an infant and on up, she would sit by herself when we travelled solo with her. No problem, but if there are two of us, one ALWAYS sits back there with her.

It is the best.. EVER!

I only did it on the way home from the hospital. DH went back there maybe 2 times when he was screaming (I pulled over and he went back to calm him).
Other than that, we never did it.

DS is 2.5 and my DH still sits in the back when I drive. It's just habit now. When it's just DH and I, he'll come back to the front and that seems weird.

i have a few times when we have driven with other people in the car and i'll let the other person sit in the front

but for a regular ride, no

'always sat in the back with my LO so I wouldn't worry about DH having to stop and then me jumping in the back if ever the baby needed milk, comfort, what-have-you. My eldest was 3 when I had my 2nd one, so I kept staying in the back. Then the 3rd one came 15 mos. after the 2nd, so I had two LOs in the 2nd row to look after. :)

Nowadays, I get to sit in the front and then all 3 kiddos are in the 2nd row. My eldest loves being the "responsible" one in there, handing snacks or the bottle or playing with his siblings. These are for short rides anyway (like a trip to BJs, mall, and the like).

The first month I would, His head would keep flopping over since he had no neck control yet so I'd fix it. Now I sit in the front. He just sleeps back there anyway.

Every once in awhile, more so on long trips.

He sometimes ask for me to sit in the back with him. If I'm with DH I just jump in the back those times.

When he was younger maybe the first few months. He was a colic baby so there were plenty of times he would just sob uncontrollably becasue of it, so I would go back there with him.

We usually still sit in back with DS and he's almost 8 months. Mostly because someone is back there to give him a bottle or snack if he gets cranky. We don't NEED to sit back there. I drive him around alone plenty and he does just fine.

I only go back there on rare occasions when I need to feed a bottle. other than that I never really felt a need to be back there other than the day DH drove us home from the hospital.

Just the ride home from the hospital bc I felt like that was the norm.

I would only sit in the back if we were going on a long car ride and the dog was in the back with her. Otherwise I sit in the front.

ETA we also have the mirror so we can see her from the front, DH and I check to make sure she is ok every few minutes.

All the time. DD is 3m old & I like to sit back there with her & my other DD who is 5. Never really questioned it.

When DH was smaller, I always did. Now that he is bigger (18 months), I probably sit back there half the time. I like hanging out with him in the back
