DHA in omega 3?
At my appt. on Monday my Dr. told me that I can take a vitamin that has DHA in it. I think it was Omega 3 Fatty acids but I cant remember. Can someone help me?

I use Fish Oil and it has DHA in it

DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) is one of the Omega 3 Fatty Acids. DHA specifically has been shown to be beneficial during pregnancy and most women in the US do not get enough through their diet so it is recommended to supplement with DHA.

Please do not forget to take your DHA. It is better to take it in a separate pill b/c the prenate's with it all in one leave out a lot of B vitamins. Pregger moms need about 200-300mg/day. It is especially important during 3rd trimester b/c DHA is transferred via placenta to fetus for brain development.
Studies show that it also extends normal gestation by 12 days. (if you are at risk for preterm labor) will not extend normal gestation.
You can either get it from your prenate or over the counter. Brand called Expecta..
