dexamethasone....... update, new question

For those who have taken this.. how long were you on it? I was told to take it 1/day for 7 days........ but then the container came with 60!!! Is this something I can be on long term- like even while pregnant? (obviously this is wishful thinking and assuming I get pregnant after this cycle )

Thanks everyone!! I am guessing I won't need to take it after I get a BFP Hopefully that happens soon ..

Also does anyone else find when they're on it that they have to go to the bathroom constantly?!! I went 5 times while at work today and I usually go twice, and three times is considered a lot.....

Any side effects in particular I should know about?

i was on it for two weeks while stimming for ivf.

i was on it continuosly from november until last week. it was the first think dr. b prescribed for me when my LH came back at 21.

Dr B. prescribed it to me too. I forgot how long the prescription said to take it for but i have a 30 day supply and 5 refills. Thats 150 pills. The pharmacist said to me the ins will only allow a 30 day supply at a time and that i had 5 refills. When i asked how long the script says to take it for he said to take it all. But now i am . I think i should call Dr. B and confirm how long i should take this for.

I guess it totally depends on the RE and/or you specific situation. I only took it for a week, maybe a little more.

OMG!!!! I didn't even put 2 and 2 together. I usually pee once before bed and then normally i am fine until i wake up. But since i have been on Dex, i have had to pee in the middle of the night SOOOOOOOO bad and then again when i wake up around 6-6:30. I didn't even think it was because of the dex. I take it at dinner time. Thanks for solving my mystery!
