Deanna's Plan Question

Hi, we are trying Deanna's Plan this month. I have the Clear Blue Easy Digital Ovulation Kit, and have a question -

According to Deanna's Plan, you are supposed to BD every other day from Day 8 until you get your positive OPK. Then you are supposed to BD that night and the next 2 nights.

The CBE Digital gives two high days and a peak. Is the peak the positive OPK? If it is, does that mean we are BD'ng on the 2 highs, the peak and the following two nights?

I am exhausted thinking about it!!!!!!

Re: Deanna's Plan Question

CBE gives more than 2 high readings in a lot of cases. It all depends on your cycle. It always gives 2 PEAK days. That is considered your positive. You should expect to ovulate within 24 hours of your first peak reading. The 2 peak days are followed by one more high reading, which is sort of just extra assurance.

Once you see high readings, it means you are fertile. You should be seeing fertile CM and if you check your CP, it should be consistent with that. This is a good time to start BD'ing bc the fertile CM helps get the sperm up there and depending on the quality of the sperm, it can survive several days. The peak reading, means you are surging and about to release the egg. I would definitely BD that day and the next. The high reading afterwards is there bc sometimes the egg can still be hanging around a day later so it doesn't hurt to give it another go.

Thank you so much for responding! I think you are referring to the CBEFM, which I've used in the past. Do you have that or the Ovulation predictor?

The CBEFM worked to get me pregnant with DD...and subsequently didn't work afterwards. My peak was completely missed.

Our first month really trying, we just tried without any OPK or anything. Then, I started using First Response OPKs, used them for 2 months. I switched to Wondfos to save money...we also started Deanna's plan that same month.

We got pregnant the first month using Wondfos and Deanna's Plan (4th month TTC) Chat Icon

Good luck!

I have Wondfos too...but I can't really figure out when it's my actual peak day. The darkness of the non-control line is so iffy sometimes. How did you know it was your peak day?

The Test line needs to be as dark or darker than the Control line. If you think it's positive, you could always double check it with another OPK test as a backup.

I tested twice a day, morning and evening. I also limited liquids and held pee for at least 2 hours.
