Deanna's plan

So DH and I are going to mix it up and try Deanna's plan. Has anyone given it a shot? Her plan says to use the OPK in the afternoon. There is no way I can go from noon til I leave work at 4 (and get home at 5:45) to hold my urine and test in the afternoon. And I can't test at work. I am not a good afternoon tester and the last time I got my it was with FMU. Does it make the big a diff if I test in the morning?

I don't think so.. you have a 24 to 36 hour window..

if you are using the CBE digital opks then FMU is fine!

For me it did. I got no smiley when I woke up early in the AM and then one later in the day (6 hrs later).

I do not always hold my urine for that long though and I have gotten a smiley...so I would say hold your urine for as long as you can but the afternoon is better than the AM in my experience.

My RE said do both FMU and waiting after 4-5 hours.

awesome idea to try Deanna's Plan. We did it and I'm currently 15w along.

I think it matters for some.... to test in the morning versus the afternoon.
I actually used CBEFM in the morning and then regular smiley OPK's in the evenings... like 7pm... I just didn't pee for 3 to 4 hours.... and tried not to drink too much water in that time so I wasn't diluting anything. It worked this way for me. I was able to get a smiley sometimes in the night on the OPK and the next morning I got the peak reading on the CBEFM... I felt like I was cheating in a good way!!
