DD started screeching for fun
She thinks it's funny. Please tell me this is a phase. She's 4.5 months. I mean like ear piercing screeches. I've told her to shhhhh but she doesn't know any better.

My DD was 5 months when she began that screeching. First few times I almost had a heart attack thinking something was wrong.
It lasted about two months. Now, she whines......sigh.

Dd went through this around 6 months... We'd be in stores and shed think it was hysterical to scream at the top of her lungs... We stayed away from restaurants lol

DD started screeching for fun
DD gets sooo excited when we're out in the stores and does a lot of screaming. Everyone within a mile radius gets to hear her da da da da's. Most of the time I don't think it's a big deal since we're usually shopping at target or BRU, not Tiffany's! We take her out to lunch but try to choose loud or empty places and distract her as soon as she starts to get loud. Good thing she's cute!

I really LOL’d when I saw the subject because I heard my DD as soon as I read it. She started doing it at 7 months, I think…Maybe earlier. But it lasted for a week or two and now it just happens once in a blue.

My DD went through the same phase at around 4-5 months. It happened twice, I believe, where she spent entire weekends just screeching happily. It drove me crazy, but thankfully, it was only a phase.

Ummm yeah... my DD is 18.5 months and doing this. She thinks it's hysterical when I tell her we don't yell like that.

YES!!!! DD did this at roughly 8 months. It was god awful - earpiercing!!! It lasted a few weeks and then she stopped.

My DS used to do the same thing when he was 4 months old. He screeched every where we went. Finally he stopped doing it after about 7 months.
