DD is drinking less formula/day

DD is now 13 weeks old and over the past few days she has been drinking less formula per day. I always put 6 oz in her bottle and she gets 5 bottles per day. Out of the 5 bottles she finishes one and then the others she is drinking between 4-5 ounces.

She is not complaining of hunger or showing any signs that she is sick. She is happy as a clam!

Is this normal?

She is also the queen of spitting up so I try not to force her to drink too much at a time but I notice that when I stop the bottle halfway to burp her she doesn't want it again. I have to wait about 10 minutes and then offer it to her again and sometimes she will take a couple of ounces. She is also a terrible burper.

i believe my doctor said they should be getting between 24-30 oz at that age.

as long as she is getting enough and not hungry, she's fine IMO

DD use to be the same way. She was horrible burper and i basically i never got a burp out of her and if i stopped to burp her it would take a while for her to take her bottle again.

So I basically stopped burping in the middle of the bottle since she rarely burped any way and just waited to the end of the bottle.

Also she started taking forever to even finsih her bottle so i change the next size nipple and she would finish her bottle in 10-15 min and i would then just burp her when she had finished

That is exactly how my DD is too. Does it ever stop? lol

I am not sure if I should switch the nipple because sometimes she will drink an entire bottle in 15 minutes.

Uuugghhh...so frustrating!

I wouldnt switch then. Maybe try to just burp her at the end of the bottle.

as for the spitting up i just noticed for the past 2 weeks (she will be 6 months on July 1st) that she does not spit up too much anymore. of course now though she is drooling a lot Chat Icon

lol...I'll never see her cute little outfits. I should just buy a bunch of cute bibs that look like outfits.
