Days in Cycle keep alternating???? what does this mean?

Ok, I consider myself to have a very regular, predictible cycle. It seems like each month my cycle alternates like clockwork 27 or 29 days. I mean one month it is 27, then the next is 29 (never 28). There was only one month the i had 2 in a row of 27 days, but I was really sick that month and think that might have throw it off. Does that mean one ovary ovluates a few days later than the other? Is that possible???
I know this may seem like a stupid question, but does anyone else have this?

Though some women ovulate from opposite ovaries from month to month, that is not always the case. I have had cycles fluctuate from as short as 26 days to as long as 31 days. Since I was monitored by sonogram, I always knew from which side I was ovulating from - more often than not it was one particular side. Stress and illness can throw off one's cycle.
