daycare two days a week

anyone do this with a first timer? i have my parents three days a week so starting in september i will need care for my DD who will be 2 Y.O. two full days a week. i found a center that would provide this. is this too little? will it take my DD forever to adjust because its only twice a week? anyone ever done this? thanks!!! i am so nervous.

My ds is 2 and goes to daycare 3 full days a week and stay with my mom 2 days. I find that 2-3 days is just enough for him and he has adjusted very well.

My BIL sends his daughter to tutor time 2x a week so I know some centers definitely do 2x a week

It will be tough in the beginning on the first day of the week. So say you do Tues and thurs. Tues will be tough because there is a bigger gap. But over a few weeks she will adjust.

I started my DS at 18 months 2 days a week.
He did well. A few tears in the beginning but honestly he would have cried if it were 5 days. He was super attached to me.
He's doing great now.

I started my DD in daycare 2 days a week in September when she was 16 months. We did it strictly for socialization/fun, not because we needed it. She was watched by both grandmas during the week. DD goes Mon and Fri. I would say it took her maybe a month to get fully adjusted. She would cry hysterically everytime I dropped her off. Now she loves and barely kisses me goodbye before she's off and playing.

DS changed from a nanny to 3 days day care/2 days with my mom at 18 months. He had absolutely no problem adjusting. He loves it! And having my mom there every other day gives him time to catch up on his sleep (we have to wake him early for day care).

We started DD in daycare 2 days a week just before her 2nd birthday. I couldn't have dreamed of an easier transition. DH and I brought her together on the first day and she just ran off to play without even looking back to say goodbye. We went over and told her we were leaving and she didn't bat an eye. The staff kept commenting to us on how happy she was there and that she was one of the few kids who never cried. I don't think this is how all kids are of course.

I will say that we did lots to prepare her and I think she was able to sorta understand at that age. We talked about "school" constantly leading up to her going, read any books I could find, etc. She loved Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood and that had two good episodes about going to "school" that she would watch. I think she knew what to expect so nothing came as a shock.

We do 2 days of daycare, and family 3. She's been going since she was 9 weeks.
