Daycare sending pictures?
DS just started daycare this week and some of my co-workers were telling me that their day-cares text them pictures of DC. My daycare doesn't do this, which is fine, I'm just wondering if that's the norm?

DS#1's first daycare did. It was a small, in-home one and she'd text them occasionally.
The center he was at and DS#2 is at they don't. I don't think the teachers are aloud to use their phones during school time. I sometimes wish they could, but at the same time, I sometimes wondered if the old daycare was maybe paying a little too much attention to her phone.
I don;t know many people who have that though.

mine does not text but they DO have a facebook page and constantly post photos from events, special activities etc. Love it, I feel like I get to see what they do without being there

Daycare sending pictures?
Mine does. They are paperless so each classroom has an ipad and we get reports at the end of the day via a system called Tadpoles and they can attach pictures to it. The teachers can also send pic during the day this way.
They also upload pics to their facebook page almost daily.

I miss it when they don't send pics. I got spoiled this summer because they sent so many!!!!

Never had this. And personally I wouldn't want it. I know I am in the minority here but I don't want to know what I am missing all day with him. I don't want to be working as it is and if I got pics it would make it harder to get through the day. I hardly ask anything about how his day goes. He's alive and healthy it was a good day.

Yes, sometimes. Not often but if there is a special event or one of the boys is doing something particularly cute they will.

I get a tadpoles e-mail too, but no picture :( Now I want pictures lol.

They used to but then they made a "no cell phone use" for the employees rule. So, they take pictures and post them their Shutterfly account that I check.

Mine doesn't text but they use an app called Livingtree, which is a private community network where teachers can share pics, messages, calendars, etc with the parents. My son's teacher would post pics of DS and his classmates during their special events on there. I liked it because it was restricted to only the parents of the children in her class.

DS's old daycare also used tadpoles. We'd get reports at the end of the day which usually had pictures attached to them.

Mine did not.
But that was the first 8months, then we moved to TX and the daycare she went to had cameras. My father watched her off and on and hubby and I would meet for lunch and watch her then LOL
After 2, she went to a prek program, which had cameras but not open for viewing off school property.
