Day 3 of CIO
Just 2 quick questions...
1. Is he going to be crying himself to sleep every night we put him to bed?
2. What do I do about him waking in the middle of night bc of teething? The motrin wears off by 2am and he's up crying bc of his gums (he's cutting three molars right now).

I would go in and give him the motrin or the tylenol and then rub his back for a few minutes and then leave. He probably will cry but than you have to CIO.
Yes, he may cry everyday for a few minutes. He is trying to tell you that he is not happy with you leaving him. Just remember a baby that sleep well is usually a happier baby.
