Napping CIO Day 2- So far no good
So DS had his first nap of the day....he all out screamed the entire hour so I went in and got him. He's eating his cereal now but definitely is tired and distracted.
Forgot to add-- yesterday's napping went like this: Nap 1: cried 40 minutes, slept 20ish Nap 2: cried 10 minutes, slept 30 Nap 3: cried entire hour, no nap
So, so far Day 2: Nap 1: cried entire hour, no nap
What do I do if he cried the entire hour for the remaining naps..should I just let him sleep on me like he normally does (which is how we got here in the first place)? The kids gotta sleep right?? or no? I'm so frustrated and upset and it's only day 2.

Re: Napping CIO Day 2- So far no good
CIO for naps for me was really hard, and my DS, like yours, would sometimes cry for an hour straight for every nap.
We had a tough first 3-4 days, where he would cry for up to an hour for each nap, I would take him out after an hour, and he would be tired and cranky all day.
But eventually, the hour turned into 40 minutes, into 20 minutes, and now he goes down without a peep.
It took us about 2 full weeks before CIO for naps finally worked.
Stick to it. I know it's really rough listening to your baby cry for that long and then dealing with him all cranky for the rest of the day, but it DOES get better.
ETA: DS also would only sleep laying on me.
