I'm a dance teacher and I prefer DD, but I'm sure that depends on the person. My favorite gc is to Target, who can't use that. My favorite gift is either a bottle of wine or gc for manicure.

$10-25 is the norm with my kids. I really appreciate gifts, but it is definitely not necessary. I would say I get gifts from maybe 1/4 of my students.

That's a great idea!! DD takes 3 classes but the one that uses the ipod teaches 2 of them so I usually spend a little more on her.
I've also given stuff from bath and body works.

I wound up doing bath and body works gift. Figured lotions always come in handy.
