are you supposed to stop poas after you get your smiley or do you continue with the opk?

I would test again the next day bc you can get a smiley two days in a row which could mean you are still surging.

Does that mean that you won't O till 12-36 hours after the surge stops?  I usually get 2 days of smileys so maybe I am miscalculating when I O. I thought it was 12- 36 hours from the initial smiley....
ETA: to the OP, I didn't this month but for the past 2 months I have tested for 2 days after.

There is no way to really pinpoint exactly without temping but I'd say you are best to assume 12-36 hours after your initial surge.

I'm curious why you would keep testing. All the research I read said you should  before O. And if you follow Deanna's plan you are already before and then the day you get and the day after. It doesn't seem to matter when you actually O as long as you before O. I should O Sunday or Monday so we are Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon and then probably Tues and Thurs to play it safe.
Does this make sense?
