CSection moms - anyone have this issue with an incision area?
I have this weird thing at the end of my scar, above the incision, it's like a bulging skin or something, it's NOT a CS pouch (as it's called) , all if the incision looks smooth, my stomach looks flat and toned other than that one area, the easiest way to explain without posting the picture is this : it's as if they had left over skin when they stitched me up because they didn't line up the 2 sides perfectly and the leftover skin was tucked in at the end and stitched up or something, or almost like there is a knot there or something. does this make sense? Don't know how else to explain it, it's also VERY tender to touch, just that area. It bothers me because I have lost all the weight, I have toned up , my stomach and rest of the incision area is is nice and flat, it's just that little area that's bulging , it is visible underneath my jeans or anything tight I wear I was trying on some summer dresses just now and I noticed it even more , that's why I decided to post. At this point I wish it was the whole area and not just that small area so it's not so noticeable. I feel like a freak and very , very selfconsiounce . I just hate it so much. Just wondering if anyone else has this and if you have gotten an explenation as to what it is . I have talked to few moms and no one has this . Never had it with my first...

If this is a second c/s it can be scar tissue from the first c/s. You could try to massage it to reduce it.

You can get incisional hernia after a surgery... Does it hurt anywhere else,

I had something very similar after my C/S. It went away about 8 months PP.

I wonder if they left a little bit, or they made a knot to tie the skin levels together and that is what you feel. I would discuss it with your doctor to alleviate your concerns though. But perhaps a deep tissue massage might help too.

I will ask them at my next visit, not due for another visit for a few months though.

I have the same thing and a wierd pain right above the scar. My OB said that it could be a incisional hernia. I have an appt with a general surgeon next week. She told me that some can stay and dont need surgery but some do. I want to try to have another LO so I am concerned with stretching etc. If i can wait she said that she will fix it it next c section
