cruise and walk shoe

I need to get my daughter a good pair of shoes as she is learing to crawl and walk.. i wanted to get her stride rite step 2(cruise and walk) but they start at size 3 and my daughter is just barely a size 2. does anyone know any other brands that are like the stride rite cruise and walk's?

Unless she will be outside I wouldn't even put shoes on. My DS learned to walk last summer and he barely had shoes on. Barefoot is best or socks.

No shoes at all.until they are fully walking.

Yes i had a similar question and no shoes is best. Shoes can actually cause issues with walking and moreso with their foot.

I asked a friend of mine who works in EI and has her doctorate in PT about this when DS started to cruise, walk, etc. She said its best to keep them barefoot or in socks with grippies on them as much as possible. They feel the floor better and learn a better sense of balance that way. If you need to get sneakers or shoes to cover their feet when out, get something that has a flexible sole. DS is nearly always barefoot at home and at 13 months, he's practically running around the house.

thanks for all your input.. i should have mentioned before my daughers circulation in her feet arent the greatest so her feet get very cold(which she will grow out of soon) so i need to keep socks or shoes especially if we are out in the colder weather.. her PT told me to get soft sole shoes for her also..wierd that you other PT say not to.. i have always heard no shoes is best also(which is what i did with my son) we are going camping in a few weeks and definitly need something for her feet.. ill just use what I have since Stride rite doesnt have her size..

Try Payless. I saw a lot of 2's there and got DD a great first pair of sneakers there for the rare times I let her cruise around outside or in public.

I used the koala kids shoes. I have preemies, they are little. All winter when we were out of the house they wore these they are super soft and have great treads so they do not slip.
