Crossing over to Parenting... a little sooner than I thought!
I find myself joining the parenting board about 8 weeks earlier than I thought I would! My son was born Saturday 3/6/10 at only 32 weeks. He weighed 3 lbs 6 oz and is doing surprisingly very well for himself!!! I'm so proud of him! He's going to be in the NICU for about 4 weeks, so DH and I will be spending our days at the hospital visiting with him.
In the meantime, I was discharged yesterday and came home. Since I had to have an emergency c-section and had complications due to the severe pre-eclampsia I developed, I did stay an extra day in the hospital... wish they had left me longer though! Besides the pain (ouch! thank goodness for pain killers, but even those are not fully cutting it!), I wouldn't have minded staying longer since I would have been closer to my little boy.
But, it is nice to go home to your own bed. I've been pumping every 2-3 hours trying to get my milk going so it's been VERY tiring. I really would love a full night's sleep, but I really want to supply my little love bug with whatever I can to help him grow strong.

oh Yesi - you have no idea how hard i was praying for you & your little angel... i'm so happy to know you are home & can only wish & continue praying that your little man continues to grow strong and comes home soon!

Congratulations! He is precious!
I also crossed over to parenting sooner than expected. My DD wasn't due until December but made her appearance in October. I will be thinking if you and your little guy . Feel free to fm if you have any questions.

YAY YESI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome welcome welcome welcome!!!! You really kept us on our toes there for a few days!!!!! Henry is just OMG I saw Maria's blog pic and cried  I just love his name too You sound GREAT and we are so thrilled for you. H will be out of the NICU soon (I know each day must feel like a week right now though) and he'll be so strong and healthy when he gets home so don't worry!!!! Great job with the pumping, that too gets easier!!!!
Those painkillers do work hon, but nothing help as much as rest so get COMFORTABLE and rest rest rest!!!!
OH and just a little *tip cause I was a dummy with the painkillers and kept waiting until the pain was CRAAAAAZY to take them. Apparently that's all wrong - your pain comes like a wAVe, so you really want your meds to pEAk with the pain, so take 'em earlier and they'll be more effective. I apologize if you are doing this but I was wildly uninformed about the whole painkiller thing
