Re: crib bumpers..thoughts?
DS went into his crib at 4 months with bumpers. He is now 8 months old and still has bumpers. They aren't super thick yet they have kept him from smashing his head into the rails...It is up to how you feel whether you want to use them or not...

Re: crib bumpers..thoughts?
I thought for sure I wouldnt use bumpers, blankets etc because of SIDS.
I used the bumpers and the blanket from my bedding set.
Bumpers I had set up in the crib. When I transitioned her to the crib she always shoved her head into the corners, so if the bumpers werent there she would be hitting her head.
Blanket I used because it was winter and I thought it was cold. As soon as I used that blanket on her, she slept thru the night. So the blanket stayed.
I'd register for the bedding set, then see what you are comfortable with.

No baby is going to hit their head hard enough to cause any damage other than a bruise. So to me, the bumpers are NOT worth the (proven) risk of SIDS.

Re: crib bumpers..thoughts?
I haven't decided on this one yet. A big part of me wants to just use bumpers, because like a PP said people have used them for a long time and it was fine, but there is that part of me that worries if something does happen as a result of pretty bumpers, I will never forgive myself....
