crazy question about zodiac signs and TTC
is anyone trying hard to have a specific zodiac sign? or is there any zodiac sign that you don't get along with that you're trying to steer clear of?

Nope, not a concern. I'd even be willing to put up with a Scorpio, if it were a happy and healthy baby.

My brother said to steer clear of Aquarius if we could simply because all the Aquarii (?) in our family have had a lot of problems. He's really into that whole astrology thing. I know nothing about it at all!
Oddly, our child is due on his birthday (dead-center Capricorn). 
I often used to think about when the baby would be born when we were TTC but I feel like it's impossible to aim for anything. I'd love a New Year's baby, or 1/11/11. I love numbers!

I feel crazy for even saying this...but we are trying to steer clear of Gemini's...I've had bad experiences with the geminis I've encountered in my own life (no offence to any gem's on here) and when it goes bad it goes really bad...so sometimes I wonder if as the child grows into a teen if those character traits would drive us apart ...I would love to have a capricorn (me and DH are both Capricorns and so are our closest friends. We also tend to get along very well with Cancer's as well.
AM I NUTS FOR EVEN HAVING GIVEN THIS SUCH CONSIDERATION?
actually wait...i shouldn't say we are trying to stear clear...we'll take anything...I'm just worried about future adult interaction.

I've thought of months, but only b/c I want to have outside birthday parties, but never astrological signs. Of course if we are lucky enough to conceive in May, poor DH will have 2 stubborn bulls to deal with.

yes, i am guilty of thinking about this.. i really want to steer clear from Aries. I would have a baby Aries if i conceived this month, but i know i did not ( AF is coming), so i am ok in that respect.

I didn't think about zodiac signs but I did want to aim for the summer months (May-August). My birthday and my sisters birthday are in the summer and I loved being able to have outside parties.
It looks like my LO is going to be born in the end of March. That is definitely hit or miss weather in NY.

I thought about that with months and zodiac signs... I didn't want a January baby, because of people I haven't gotten along with...I am like that with names too. I look through my life and there are 2 female names that I have yet to get along with.

Haha! Funny question!
My family is VERY into zodiac signs. One of the first questions they will ask me regarding a new person is "what sign is he/she?"
I've thought about what sign the baby would be if born in a certain month. But I wouldn't ever think about trying to avoid a certain month or zodiac sign.
My brother and I are both scorpios! I think I can so deal with any of the other signs considering I'm a scorpio myself! haha! I was actually excited to have a leo baby! that's not happening now.. but I thought it would be fun! Leo's generally tend to be outgoing and center of attention, funny etc... so i was excited for that.
I think all in all.. I'd look at the good side to the zodiac sign and get excited for those qualities.
There's also sooo much more to your sign other than just the month you are born. Moon and Rising signs, etc.

LOL I'm an aries and I love being an aries, but I could TOTALLY see why you wouldn't want your child to be one.
I DOMINATED in the home my whole childhood. My poor little brother was bossed around from day one (we got along well, but he blames me today for being so lazy because i did everything!) and my mom and I fought bitterly in my late teen years. Could've been from a lot more than just my sign, but I'm definitely horribly bull-headed.
I dated a guy for a few years who was born the day after me (also dead-center Aries) and he was a total abusive @ss.
Of course, there are some great things about actually being an Aries so if any of you ladies get your BFPs soon, know you'll have very happy children! Even if we're buggers to deal with...

DD is a sagittairus and a December baby..I totally totally would love to have a spring/summer baby this time around...no one in our family is a winter birthday so we have nothing to compare DD to...We also don't know many sagittairus ppl
