Coworker vent
We use an online anonymous secret santa site who emails you with your "secret santa" pick. I happened to get a person in my shared office. I sent her some anonymous questions via the site to see what she liked. She got them in her email and proceeded to loudly ***** and moan about getting the questions and how stupid the questions were. And then answered them all in one word responses as "payback" for the stupid questions.
Gee, now I really want to get her a flipping gift.

Ugh, she is an asshole.
One question was: Do you drink wine? What's your favorite? And she replied: NO. This after I had to hear about how she carried her wine around while trick or treating with her kid.

Going to be in the minority here (although I 100% would be annoyed and hurt). The holidays can be super hard on people. It's one of the most depressing and stressful times of year for some for a whole host of reasons. I would think maybe that's the cause. People act out sometimes.
I wouldn't get a gag gift or anything. I would get a nice gift as planned and include a nice card. Sometimes that does the trick.

This is perfect because since you know she drinks wine and she answered NO, it shows me she just doesn't want wine as a gift.
So absolutely get it for her.
And if you know she only drinks red, get her white. Or vice versa.
or better yet, get her some Berringer White Zinfindel

I used the "pet petter" one for a gift for my SIL one Christmas (we got her an iPad). She totally dotes on her dogs so it wasn't a far fetched idea of a gift for her but watching her face when she opened it was priceless
