Couldn't believe it!
I was waiting to pay at the grocery store yesterday (express line) and I get my change and start to gather up my groceries. I glance behind me and this woman puts her shampoo and conditioner on the belt, but leaves her chicken and milk in the cart.
She continues to pay for the shampoo and conditioner and pushes out the cart with the unpaid items in it.
I gave her the "I know what you did" glance and walked out...
So...who else has "forgot" to pay for items?

Her shampoo and conditioner were probably more then the chicken and milk--lol
I forgot to pay for a small bottle of water once cause I was drinking it while I shopped and put it next to Julia in the seat, I felt so bad.

Nope, it was a cheapy shampoo & conditioner. The chicken was a rotissarie chicken too.

I've forgotten things...but when you only have 4 items...how do you forget 2 of them in the cart...and how come the cashier didn't notice??

Was this the self-check?
I have actually seen somethng like this a lot lately...one guy ahead of me scanned his 12 pack of coke, put it back in the carriage with his other 3 packs (4 total) and was going to walk out the door. I did see an employee talking to him as he was leaving, but not sure if it was because he stole taht stuff or not..
You cannot put in quantity and scan one in the self checks.

I didn't do this on purpose, but I was buying a 24 pack of water, scanned it, and it scanned the bar code on ONE of the bottles--so I was charged like 50 cents for the 24 pack. I had a ton of stuff so I didn't even realize it until I checked my receipt when I got home.

I walked out of CVS without paying for one of those fold up chairs that comes with the carrying case. I put it on my shoulder while I was shopping and DH paid for all the stuff we were buying. Didnt realize until I got to the car. I didnt go back

guilty! the other day i put a box of spaghetti noodles by my purse in the child seat part of the cart and paid for all the items and forgot about the noodles!  
by the time i realized it, DH and i were walking out already and DH said to just go.

Guilty of doing it today, BUT it was accidental!
I had all my stuff in the child seat part (I only had a few things) and I used the self check out.
When I got outside & took my bag out of the seat part, i saw the box of cereal I had thrown in the basket & I realized I forgot it was there!
No....I did not go back

I know I have forgot to pay for some things when I am doing a big grocery shopping & have things on the bottom of the cart. I didn't do it intentionally but once I got to the car, realized it.
I think most of the cashiers are not truly paying attention. Most of the time when I go, they are too busy talking among themselves especially if they are kids...

DH and I once forgot to pay for a big bag of cat litter once b/c it was on the bottom of the cart and I didn't remember... until I got outside to my car.
We went back in and paid for it.

I've done it once or twice with little things that ella was holding while sitting in the shopping cart at Target, i think it was a little pack of socks and a little toy.
