cord around neck
I don't know if anyone has any experience with this. I had a growth sono today (36.5 weeks) and I swear I saw the cord wrapped around the babys neck. The sono tech kept doing dopplers of the blood flow on the cord and such so I know something was going on out of the ordinary. I asked her like 6 times if the cord was around his neck but she wouldn't give me a straight answer. I know they aren't allowed to say anything but I also know that if the cord wasn't wrapped around his neck she wouldn't have allowed me to believe that it was.
So now here I am - making myself sick over this. I don't see my OB until Tuesday. Would they have let me leave if they were concerned?
Just looking for any input you ladies have.

Re: cord around neck
I had a 3d sono done with my first and look at the cord:
I asked my regular doctor about it and they laughed and said everything is constantly moving around and not to worry about it. He was born with no problem with the cord.

Re: cord around neck
and it is also normal for them to do dopplers of the bloodflow in the cord. they did this at every sono that I had - no cord around the neck

Re: cord around neck
I don't think they would have let you just leave without talking to you if something was wrong. I have had some things show up on sonos and the doc always comes in and talks with me about it. Also, they sometimes to that doppler to check the blood flow a bunch of times if the baby is moving and they can't get a good read (it happens all the time with my babies...they are very active!).
I have seen the cord in all kinds of weird places with my twins and they told me it was totally normal and nothing was wrong.
I am sure everything is fine, but I would call your doc if you are really freaking out...Tuesday is a long way away!
