convertible car seat installation
I haven't tried it yet so forgive me if I sound uninformed. DH seems to think that the convertible car seat is too tall to put in the middle and will obstruct his view. The infant seat has been in the middle and I'd really like to keep DS in the middle but when I look at pics of convertible car seats they always seem to show them on the outsides...do I have to move DS to the outsides now?

You should check our your car manual and see what the recommendations are. We have a large carseat so we decided to put it behind the passenger seat side.

If the contour of your middle seat allows the carseat to be installed properly, I'd keep it in the middle if that's what you're comfy with. It shouldn't obstruct your view at all.
I would actually prefer the carseat in the middle, but my middle seat just doesn't allow it. It is now on the passenger side.
