Spinoff to car seat inspection . . . car seat installation
How?!
I've read through the manual, carefully and taking notes, twice. I don't get it. I am pretty intelligent and fairly good at decifering directions. However, I think the drawings suk and the instructions were poorly written. Anyone else have this problem or am I the only moron?
Will they install it for me at the car inspection place?

I had put my car seat in already when I brought it to get inspected and the first thing she did was take the car seat out. She checked the car seat, went over the manual with me and we re-installed it.

I was wondering if installing was going to be hard. I am hoping to get my car seat at my shower in two weeks so I haven't read anything yet. The place I made my appointment with this morning told me to install it and they would inspect it. It would be nice if they just installed it!

This is all helpful info. Thanks ladies! I wish they would just install it too. I guess I could just do a crappy installation and let them fix it.

I went to a place in Westchester, but it was labelled as a "car seat inspection", but they installed it. The guy said that they inspect 1400 seats a year and only 100 are installed correctly. If you show up with it uninstalled, I highly doubt they will turn you away.

I had my infant seat inspected.
I'm glad that I did..... They wound up using a piece of a noodle to make sure that it was in there properly and correctly aligned.
