Communion gift question.

Our niece and nephew are both making their communion in May. Dh is godfather to one, but not the other. Do you think they should get the same amount? Or should his godson get more money? I feel the same. He says godson more. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Re: Communion gift question.

I'm assuming they are siblings (twins?) I would give the same monetary gift and maybe a little something special (cross, bible, prayer book etc) for the god child. These are little kids, your niece may not understand why she's not as "important" as her brother. I have triplets and i found it odd when my or DHs siblings give their godchild a more extravagant gift. One one shared occasion, one of our siblings only got their godchild a gift and not the other two. With multiples, the concept of fairness is very important. Anyway, that's my advice :)

Eta - if they are cousins and will not be opening gifts together then I think giving the godchild more is fine, unless you think the parents will talk and compare :)

Communion gift question.

I think money wise they should get the same but then I would get the Godson a small sentimental gift to go with it. Like a plaque or a statue or something..
