coming out to everyone?

we were planning to wait until 12-13 weeks to spill the beans to extended family and friends.. i had a m/c at 8 weeks in december and have been very very on edge this time... my ultrascreen sono is at 12w2d. if everything goes ok with that, do you think then its ok to go ahead and tell people? is that what anyone else did??

I just had my Ultrascreen today at 12w and I spilled the beans on FB after it. My close friends and family already knew.

we told parents, my sisters and 2 close friends around 8 weeks. everyone else we waited until 13 weeks to tell them.

That's when we came out to work friends. I had told my immediate family at 8w after seeing the heart beat, and my best friends and aunts/uncles at 10w.

Soon after 12w, you're not going to be able to hide it much longer anyway! I don't know about you, but I was in only maternity tops and bottoms by about a week later.

thanks ladies. im gaining weight kinda allover already and it looks like i have a big "pasta baby" as i like to call it. to the normal bystander, im sure everyone else is thinking i just let myself go! so as soon as we get confirmation that things are ok, extended family and friends get to be in on the info :)

that's when we told extended family and friends also. You just have to do it whenever you feel comfortable!

Ive told a handful of co wrokers, My family, two best friends ive known all my life and dh's family all know. I am now 10 weeks 4 days. I will tell me boss and rest of my coworkers after my 12 week sono. That is what i did for my first too.

Told parents and siblings after we saw the heartbeat, at 8 weeks. Told friends after the 12 week mark, but didnt make an official announcment.

my Dr. said that on August 4th, my 1st trimester is officially over...so that's when I will post on facebook for everyone to see!!LOL

lots of our CLOSE family and friends already know, but all the randoms on FB and other friends and more distant relatives that I just didn't go out of the way to call will find out next Thurs!

I am in the same boat as you. I miscarried at 9 weeks last pregnancy. I'm 10 weeks now and I have my screening in 17 days It feels like I'll be waiting forever. I'll be a little shy of 13 weeks when I go.

I'm very scared that something will go wrong between now and that appointment. How did you/are you handling the wait? I'm really nervous :( I'm starting to feel a little better now so that is freaking me out bad.

To answer you question, I think we will come out after the appointment if everything goes well but I might wait the extra week and come out at 14 weeks.

I came out to work then facebook the day after my ultrascreen. I was 11w5d

My parents - week after that

Other close friends - 5weeks

In-laws - 8weeks

Family - beginning week 9

General public end of week 9 / beginning of 10
