Re: co-pays
No, the only time I pay a co-pay is if I am getting an ultrasound or special test.
Although, I just learned from my insurance company that apparently I have a plan where they are going to charge me all the co-pays after the baby is born. (I don't think most plans have this but I guess I am just lucky that way )

Same here, but if they take blood in the office, or I have to go to the lab, I have to pay a co-pay to the lab. Same for sonograms or other tests done out of the OB/GYN's office.

Re: co-pays
Most insurance companies only have you pay one for the first visit. BUT if you have a sonogram or possibly some other testing you may have to pay a copay for that....

Re: co-pays
I need to look into this...seems like most of you don't pay a co pay for every visit. So far I have. After I took a home test and wasn't sure of the results I called to make an appointment for a urine test at the obgyn...I was told it was a urine test only and went on a lunch break...when I got there they said there was more to the visit so I did the urine test and made another appointment for the rest since I didn't have time. I paid a copay for each of those and a co pay for my first sono. Maybe I was charged for the first 2 because it's normally done in one appointment.

With our insurance BCBS we pay one copay of $25 and we have a $250 hospital deductible. No copays for anything else.

I have AETNA too! The thing that makes me mad is that I saw NOTHING about this "global billing" thing when I signed up for the plan. Personally I am very annoyed about it since I will get a big bill at the end of the pregnancy for all the co-pays I didn't pay at the office. I would rather pay at the time of the office visit instead of one big payment.

Re: co-pays
Co-pay for the first visit Co-pay for the first sono b/c it was someone outside my plan that my dr used.
I have a $300 copay from my birth, but I have yet to receive a bill. I called the company and asked to pay and they said the hospital would send it. Oh well.
