It pays to be nice!

So I just came upstairs from digging out my car

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.

We live in a co-op and I have a spot in front of the building. This morning, they came around with the snowblowers and plows. I was expecting my car to be completely buried.

The car was 85% clear. The porters, who we take care of generously around the holidays must have cleared off the car. There was also a path for me to get out. All I did was defrost the windshields and dig out the path behind me a little more.

I warmed it up and then actually was able to back out and drive around the block to keep the engine warm.

The guy in the spot next to me must have went away for the weekend because unfortunately, his empty spot was where they dumped alot of the excess snow. I would have dug it out for him, but we're not talking a pile of snow, more like a mountain Chat Icon

That is awesome! We also had an empty spot in front of our building this morning and I was saying it was a shame, since it was a wasted spot, but I guess that will end up being the snow pile for a few cars too!

What a wonderful surprise! It must have been great to be thinking you had so much shoveling to do and then to see it was done for you!
