Re: Closets
I have a really big walk in closet, and for the most part, it's color coordinated by type of clothing... like my skirts are color coordinated, then my pants are color coordinated, etc.
My closet is big enough that I don't have to swap out for seasons really.. it's basically all right there infront of me.
My shoes are also coordinated by style.. sneakers in 1 area, flats in another, heels in another, boots in another, sandals in another...
I'm actually very anal about that kind of thing.. I'm kinda OCD..lol

Re: Closets
We have 1 walk in closet and then another regular 5' closet and with my clothes and DH's clothes it is still almost empty so we do not change out for the season.

Re: Closets
we have one walk-in closet in our apartment and it's all mine. i have a bar on the left and right - so you walk in the middle. left side is for going out clothes and every day stuff. right side is for suits, work clothes, dressier stuff. shoes are stacked in boxes along the left wall. handbags are in their sleepers on the shelves above the bars. i also have one of those plastic 3-drawer things for hats, gloves, accessories. belts are hung on hooks.

Re: Closets
change with the seasons. It's not a chore I enjoy. If I got rid of what I don't wear, I would not have to do this.

Re: Closets
I change over seasons...I have a BIG closet but I don't have enough room for the "spring/summer" work clothes.
My dresser however does have my shorts, tanks & tshirts since I wear them throughout the year in the house.
My sweaters always stay in the closet. When I trade out the clothes, I put the winter/fall clothes in a rubbermaid & in the attic.
The same goes for shoes. All my summer sandals are in a rubbermaid tote in the spare bedroom closet. I will switch them out when it gets warmer. My bags are just on top of the rubbermaid but I only have 1 bag for each season

Re: Closets
I have a walk in and like to have everything out all the time. Our climate is too unpredicatable to put stuff away.
The back wall is for my shoes and I do switch what shoes are at eye level when the seasons change.
I still go through and weed stuff out from time to time....to make room for new stuff

Re: Closets
I have a walk in closet I share with DH that is a good size, a regular closet for my dresses and suits and an armoire (Plus DH and I share two dressers) I also have a wardrobe in the basement where I store some out of season stuff. I just gave a whole mess of stuff to Goodwill, so now I have more space for new stuff

Re: Closets
I have a large walk-in closet that I share with my husband. I have the bigger side.
But I still need to swap out for seasons - both clothes and shoes.
All of my off-season stuff is kept in clear plastic bins and kept in storage.
I also have 2 dressers and an armoire in my bedroom.

Re: Closets
I have a reach-in closet that I share with DH...and it only holds the current seasons worth of clothes & shoes so I have to rotate. Out of season clothes & shoes go upstairs in the walk-in cedar closet.

Pretty much the same here. We have a closet shelving system built in, and DH has one side (right wall), I have the other 2 sides (left side and back wall). I store out of season stuff in the closet in the spare bedroom/guest room we have downstairs.

Re: Closets
I share with DH but it's a really big closet - it was 2 separate closets and we renovated it so now it's 1 with one of those multi-rod system things with shelves and whatever.
I rotate my clothes - I have my off season stuff in the closet, under the bed and in a storage room in my building. I used to keep it all in my spare bedroom but DD lives there now.

Re: Closets
I have a walk in
1 side is shelves- I put bags, shoes and sweater
the other 2 sides are for hanging and shoes go underneath
I only have to switch the sweaters with my causal summer stuff - the hanging can stay in place
and I don't have to share with DH- he uses the closet in the 2nd bedroom
