CIO Help RE: The dreaded Paci
So last night we attempted CIO with Luke because he is just the most miserable sleeper. Here is my question, Luke is a paci addict and wont stop crying unless he has his paci. Do I go in and give him the paci and leave again or do I just let him cry without it?? I did a terrible job last night.

I had the same issues.. we went cold turkey on the paci's and did CIO at the same time. Hang in there. I am sure you did fine.

Re: CIO Help RE: The dreaded Paci
We had the exact same problem with DS. We took the pacis away and did CIO at the same time. Within 3 nights he was sleeping 10 hours straight at night and going down very, very easily. We gave him a lovey and he also liked to watch his FP Aquarium. HTH You're doing great, and he will be so much happier once he learns to put himself to sleep!

Re: CIO Help RE: The dreaded Paci
from a former paci addict's mom...get rid of them now!!! Easier said than done and I probably wouldn't even listen to my own advice but the sooner you get rid of them, the better.
