CIO and feeding question- advice please

How do you really know when it is time for CIO? My 8 month old has been sleeping on and off all night for the past 2 months. The past few weeks he has decreased his formula intake from about 27 oz to barely 20. ( I think its his teeth) As a result he has been waking up at night we leave him but after an hour I went in and he downed an 8 oz bottle SO he is clearly hungry! I am not sure what to do at this point. He is eating food 2x a day. We try and give him dinner but he is so exhausted he doesnt want to eat however he is drinking a full bottle before bed. what would you do? Do you think he needs more real food??I am at a loss and exhausted Chat Icon

please help

i wouold definitly try giving him more food, another meal/snack maybe. at 8 months my DD was eating 12 plus ounces of food plus table scraps. She loves to eat.

Re: CIO and feeding question- advice please

DS is 6 months old and has food 3x a day.

Friut & cereal for breakfast
Veggie at lunch
Fruit & cereal for dinner

He finishes his bottle that we use to mix the cereal with right before bed.

If he's falling asleep for dinner, try giving him dinner a little earlier. We moved up DS dinner from 7pm to 6pm and he's in bed between 7:30 & 8pm. He STTN with no problems (usually!)
