Christmas Hits and Misses
DS is 2. A bust for us was the Mickey Mouse toolbench. He doesn't play with it at all. I figured he would love it because he's a Mickey fanatic, plus it's very cheaply made and part of it is broken already.
A big hit is this big light up fire truck. He pushes it around the house all day.

Christmas Hits and Misses
My son was 10 months at christmas. He really loved every gift he got. he plays with everything but his favorite is definitely the Laugh and Learn House.
Some of my relatives gave him age inappropriate gifts. Like stuff that was way too babyish and books that were way too advanced (books with paper pages that he would just demolish).

Biggest hits are the lite brite, her lego sets she's 4. Dd2 is almost 2 and she loves her dolls, sttoller and carrier and crib,
For dd1 flops were the stupid $50/60 Cinderella puppy she had to have from santa. I forced dh to get it b/c that's all she asked for for months. It looked better on the commercial. It's just a remote control dog. The wand is the remote but the commercial mad it look "magical" and that it would follow the wand. Nope it goes backs nd forth lol. So annoying.
I returned a lot. A lot lol. I'm tired of crappy toys that get thrown out. I really look at the stuff and make a decision. My mom is known to just buy cheap crap. She got us 5 different dogs. 5! I kept one returned the rest. No one listens to us when they ask. So I give up and just return. No one remembers what they give so it's easy lol

DD is turning 3 next month.
Hits:
Duplo table and sets
Melissa & Doug jigsaw puzzles, wooden and floor
Lil Woodzeez (a Target version of Calico Critters)
A purse that holds a horse in it (lol for some reason she loves carrying around her horse purse)
Busts:
thomas the train set. Even though she plays with it, it's not a favorite and it was so expensive (wooden railway). We put it away for now to bring back later.

Dd is 5. Legos , goldiblox, and American girl items were big hits.
Ds is 7. Legos , snap circuits, and video games were big hits.

Christmas Hits and Misses
DD will be 3 in april. Her biggest hits were her kidkraft kitchen, M&D sort and snap game, play dough fun factory, elsa and anna dolls, her piggy bank.
Her ukelele has been a flop so far so I put it away for the time being. Her anna dress up outfits which I'm surprised about although I'm sure she'll go through phases with them. She got tons of those magnetic wooden doll sets. I can't stand them, she rarely plays with them, and everyone seems to buy them for her. She also got some type of bag from everyone and 4 different olafs! She likes them but really how many can she possible play with!
For the 2 month old, so far the big case of diapers she received has been a hit!

DD (4) plays with all of her little sister's toys. She's obsessed with this little pink taggie elephant. I suppose this is just the beginning of them stealing each others toys. The other hits were all of the Frozen clothing that she got. The miss is the gigantic Monster's High castle that she begged us for.

Personalized Cinderella watch, she is still too small for it to stay on. But she loved it and remembers it from time to time.

Next year they're getting puzzles and playdough lol

My boys are 5 and 3 -
Hits -
got a lot of popcorn word games that my 5 year old loves and my 3 year old loves too so doesn't even know he's learning
Lightbrite (although I think it's cheapy, but my 3 year old loves it)
of course their Mini Ipads
Mostly games they loved
Can't say there was anything they hated, but here's some things they don't play with as often
Soccer game
hover ball (they love it, but keeps kicking it under the couch then we forget about it. LOL
Simon (mainly bc they play with it on the Ipad app)

Barbie and the dream house was a hit with my girls but it is the biggest piece of junk! Its over $100 and it falls apart constantly. Called Mattel to complain but nothing came of it.

The biggest hit was the stuffed chase (paw patrol). He sleeps with it every night. He likes sticker books that my aunt got him. Both kids like this vtech fish toy that teaches them colors.

We had several big hits (but some were not a surprise) my kids are 5 and 7.
Snap circuits, 30 in 1 laser pegs -national geographic archeology and landmark set (you build pyramids etc). Password journal, Legos, zoomer interactive puppy.
