Christening location help...Thatched Cottage or Milleridge Inn

Any feed back on either would be great. I have never been to a party at either.

I love the cottage at the milleridge, but it was a bit too pricey plus we would have to guarantee 100 which is close, but not sure if we will have that many. So we would have to use the Inn.

So how is the food, service, etc at the Milleridge Inn and or Thatched Cottage?

Also if you know of other places that could accomadate about 100 that you would recommend please post it.

Thanks!

I went to a wedding at the Milleridge Inn and the food was great. I have also been to the restaurant a few times and enjoyed the food.

I've been to both places many times. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

Milleridge! It's gorgeous. I have been to many showers there and the serive is always so nice.

Not sure where you and most of your guests live, but the Thatched Cottage is hard to get to from most places on LI. Milleridge is much more centrally located.

Re: Christening location help...Thatched Cottage or Milleridge Inn

Our family has gone there for years for different events so I had a 60th bday party for my mom at Milleridge. I have to be honest, I was greatly disappointed in the food, service, etc.

The food was skimpy and nothing to brag about. They only assigned 2 waiters who were very slow and people were always waiting for a drink, bread, etc.

I personally thought they did a terrible job with our party and would not go back there again after that. Also, the last time we went prior to the party I had, I took my ILs there and we waited seated for like 15 mins for someone to simply even come over and take our drink order. Also b/c they leave the doors open there were a bit too many flies for my liking...

It was embarrassing and I was so upset that they were letting us down.

I went to a wedding at Thatched Cottage and thought it was great, but I was not the host so I would not know how great of a job they really did. But I would go with that over Milleridge.
