Childcare options

Anyone have a suggestion for a full day program for a 3 year old in the Patchogue-Medford-Bellport area? I'm pretty specific with my area because it needs to be local to my job...I don't need extended hours (8-4 is fine)...I'm touring the YMCA in Patchogue and Habitots in Medford...any other suggestions?? And I was quoted at $750 for the YMCA 3 days per week...is that reasonable?? My other girls didn't need full day care so I'm new to this game!

Re: Childcare options

$750 a month?
If so, that's a good price.
I paid $1000 a month for 3 days a week at a center

I have no frame of reference for this, so thank you! I have an extremely reasonable babysitter now, but it would be an extra $350 a month for her to go to the 2.5 hour preschool program near her house, so honestly, it will cost me about the same as a full day program where they have lots of structure and even swim lessons are included. I would need before care, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too much more.

That seems like a great price. I'm upstate and that's probably the part time rate here.

I've heard great things about the patchogue ymca childcare. I have a few friends who use them and they all love it. We swim at that y and always see the kids on the playground and they always seem to be having a good time! Playground is is really nice too. That is a great price too!

I think my coworker who uses the ymca in Huntington for her daughter pays around that. I think it's a good rate.
