Childcare options in Northport area
So we are in the process of moving to LI and purchasing a home in Northport
I hope to be working part time our NYC office and part time from home.
Does anyone have any suggestions for Daycares in the area (feel free to FM if you don't feel comfortable posting)
Also, are there any resources for finding a nanny in the area.
My ideal situation would be someone who would take care of her 2 days while I'm in the office and then clean and stuff the other 3 days while I am at home and watch her if I need to be on a call. Then again, I am really paranoid about nannies!!
Any info would be much appreciated as it os really difficult to find things when you are moving to a new state.
TIA

I don't know of any Nannies in the area, but there are 2 Tutor Times nearby.
1) Larkfield Rd in East Northport
2) Main Street between Northport and Huntington

There is a small daycare - like someone's home - right near me on Waterside Ave - I know nothing about it, but its practically outside my door. FM me and I'll give you specific street...

Kiddie Academy on Pulaski in Greenlawn does PT but to be honest, price wise, it's not worth it.
Many of the smaller centers I looked into will only do FT because they take in so few kids.

I've heard good things about this place and they are located in the same building as the child care council which, imo, can only be good.
