Chef mickey character dining update!
So i posted a while back I accidentally made my reservations at chef mickey's for 2 (not counting my 18 month son). Well I was going to just show up and hope they seat us w/out any problem; but I continued to check daily. FINALLY at 8:30 this morning on the way to work a table opened up at 5:35 for 3! For the longest time there was only a 9:45 reservation for 3; then nothing available at all; and now I grabbed the 5:35!!
My plan is to have dinner; and then hopefully hop on the monorail to the Polynesian resort to catch the fireworks.

You can also watch the fireworks from the Contemporary - just go past the gift shops on the same level as Chef Mickeys and there is an outdoor observation deck.

I did read that online; but saw that the beach at the Poly is the recommended site. I guess I'll see how long dinner runs and if we're close to the 9pm time I'll just stay at the contemp. Thanks!!

I tried that before-but they told me there wasn't any tables available for 3. even though I said it was just a baby/toddler. They told me to keep checking to see if a reservation for 3 opened.

I just read the other day that the view from the Poly is very limited now due to some construction over there, just so you know!

Sorry that is no longer an option. With the construction and the huge crowds they have cutback to guests only viewing.
