Disney Character Dining...

Is there a good buffet restaurant in Magic Kingdom w/ characters?

We did the Royal Table last time and wanted to try something different.

Also is Chef Mickey's worth going to even if your not staying at that hotel?

TIA,
Melissa

I love crystal palace for breakfast. I think its one of the few, or only, places in disney that cooks eggs to order and they make omelettes as well. The downside is that its winnie the pooh characters - my kids arent really big on winnie the pooh.

chef mickeys is definitely worth it. The food is nothing to brag about, but you get a lot of character time - each time we went all the characters came to us twice. Also, its only a 10 minute walk to/from the Magic Kingdom if you dont feel like waiting for a monorail....

Re: Disney Character Dining...

we did chef mickeys for breakfast and crystal palace for lunch (not on the same days)

DD loved both. While the food at either is not spectacular, the interaction with the characters is what makes it special.

Re: Disney Character Dining...

Definitely do Crystal Palace...it's cute and spirited...and the food is great.

I would also suggest you get a reservation at like 8 am, it would allow you entrance into the park before anyone else is there and that was pretty cool.

Chef Mickey's is great - and only a monorail ride away from the MK.

Crystal Palace is winnie the pooh and friends is nice too in the MK. Those are the only character places in the MK now that Liberty tree tavern isn't participating anymore.

In the Grand Floridian there is 1900 Park Faire - which has a character breakfast (mary poppins and friends for breakfast and cinderella, prince charming, wicked stepmom and sisters for dinner) also only a monorail ride away.

In EPCOT - there is
Garden Grill - with Mickey and friends
Akershus with the princesses

There is a playhouse disney lunch and breakfast over at Hollywood studios at Hollywood and vine
